On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, our parish community celebrated a joyful moment as seven of our members made their Sacrament of First Reconciliation. Ayva Vincent, Aavry Sokoloski, Diana Bruyere, Raelyn Munroe-Bruyere, Kallan Actimichuk, Antwan Guimond and Dellyn Smith took this important step in their faith journey, experiencing God’s mercy and forgiveness in a personal way.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation, often called Confession, is one of the seven sacraments of the Catholic Church. It offers us a chance to confess our sins, receive absolution, and be reconciled with God and our community. For these children, it’s a foundational moment, preparing their hearts to receive Jesus in the Eucharist at their First Holy Communion, which they are diligently preparing for and will take place on June 22, 2025. The Eucharist, another vital sacrament, is the source and summit of our faith, where we encounter Christ’s real presence in the bread and wine. Together, these sacraments deepen our relationship with God and strengthen our place in the Church family.
This is a significant step for these members as they grow in faith and love. We invite our parish to keep them in your prayers as they continue their journey toward First Holy Communion. May they feel the support of our community and the grace of God guiding them every step of the way!
